Hello church! This is it, we’re on the final week of the Bible Reading Challenge! I hope you’ve been blessed by it. If you’ve finished the plan, well done, I’m proud of you! If you haven’t, that’s okay too! Remember this wasn’t about completing the NT in 3 months, the whole reason for this was to help us to get in the habit of regularly studying God’s word.

Speaking of studying God’s word, Paul addresses this subject in his letter to Timothy.

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. – 2 Timothy 2:15

Brothers and sisters, don’t fall into the trap of thinking that you are not a worker for God’s glory. This advice from Paul is for all of us. Now I know that not all of us may preach a sermon from the front of the church, but, all of us have people in our lives that need to hear God’s word of truth.

So how can we do our best to present ourselves to God as approved workers? KNOW HIS WORD! We cannot and will not teach or speak the word of truth correctly without regular study of it. The study of the bible is the duty and privilege of ALL Christians, none of us are off the hook on this and that’s wonderful because we are so blessed through it!

This is my drive and desire, to be obedient to the Lord in helping the church to read and love the word, and to see the living word change people’s lives for God’s glory. So this isn’t the end, it’s only the beginning, I will be doing more group reading plans in the future, planning to start up again in the fall. In the meantime, I’d really love to hear your experiences and feedback about how we can make this even better for the next round.

Thank you for joining me, keep reading the word and be blessed Church!
